Key Personnel
Matthew L. Cain, P.G., serves as both Senior Geologist and Vice President. Matt has over 15 years experience performing hundreds of subsidence investigations for various insurers and plaintiffs and attorneys alike. Matt has continuing education including attendance at the 2002 Fundamentals of Grouting Short Course held in Lakewood, Colorado and the 2003 9th Multidisciplinary Conference on the Engineering and Environmental Impacts of Karst held in Huntsville, Alabama. Matt currently is serving on the Florida Board of Professional Geologists and is past Board Chair.
Matt is a ‘hands on’ owner who has operated, and maintained geotechnical drill rigs and has extensive field experience, giving valuable insight to unseen geological and drilling conditions. MCD’s vast experience is a clear technical advantage in determining the cause(s) of damage and design of effective remedial measures.
Heather L. Cain serves as President. Since inception of MCD, Heather has maintained all client files and has assisted with all phases of the investigation process. She is proficient with numerous software programs and her geological background (BS, Geology 1995- University of South Florida) and field experience provide MCD with relevant, competent and hands on experience at the highest level of management. Her past work and experience includes research at the University of South Florida, experience with consulting firms and the SWFWMD.
