MCD maintains a soils testing laboratory and routinely performs soil classification tests including moisture content, percentage of soils passing the number 200 mesh sieve and organic content testing. In addition, we can evaluate the plasticity of soils by the Atterberg limits method. Permeability tests are performed to calculate the hydraulic conductivity of soils. All testing procedures follow applicable ASTM standards.
